The Oakdale Group provides a wide range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma. Oakdale also provides a wide range of psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Others are accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance, or through our charitable arm.

The role

We are looking to employ an experienced administrator to work alongside our clinical teams who provide Neurodevelopmental Assessments and other commissioned services. The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive administrative services, including dealing with both incoming and outgoing telephone calls, booking appointments, managing inboxes and general office duties.

The post holder will need to work flexibly to help Oakdale meet, and overcome challenges, and be able to embrace change with enthusiasm. The successful candidate r will contribute towards the growth and positive reputation of the Oakdale Centre, its success and development, and most importantly the health and wellbeing of our clients. 





The post holder’s duties will include:

  • Coordinating Oakdale’s activities undertaken within clinical services

  • Processing case administration and client information according to Oakdale’s processes

  • Taking client information and enquiries

  • Arranging appointments

  • Managing therapist’s’ diaries

  • Inputting information into our client databases

  • Typing and sending letters and appointment emails

  • Establishing and maintaining a room booking and coordination system 

  • Inbox management 

  • To be an integral member of the Oakdale team and contribute to its positive  reputation and development

  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required

  • Supporting Oakdale’s clinical and management teams

  • To comply with the requirements of the Centre’s policies and procedure

About you

Essential:

  • A minimum of 1 year of recent administration experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner, with the ability to facilitate the resolution of issues

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Able to work on own initiative and to tight timescales in an often fast paced environment

  • Responsible, trustworthy and reliable

  • A team player with a positive and can-do attitude 

  • Proactive, organised, methodical, adaptable and strong attention to detail

  • The ability to build effective relationships, inspiring trust and confidence within the organisation and externally

  • High level of personal and professional commitment

  • Experience using a range of IT systems and packages including databases

  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality


Desirable:

  • Experience of using Google Workspace

Salary: £22,500 - £26,250 (FTE)
