As a Financial Accountant at Oakdale Centre CIC, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, providing crucial insights to stakeholders, and contributing to positive social change. With your advanced Excel skills, Xero knowledge, and a strong grasp of accounting principles, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our financial success.

Here's what your role will entail:

  • Streamlined Financial Management: From bookkeeping to project invoicing, you'll keep our financial operations running smoothly, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency.

  • Client Focus: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is key. You'll be the go-to person for addressing inquiries and concerns, ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint.

Here's what you'll be diving into:

  • Master of Bookkeeping: Become the custodian of our financial narrative, ensuring every detail is accounted for and every transaction is recorded with meticulous accuracy. With your expertise in accounting software, you'll keep our records up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

  • Project Invoicing:  Step into the spotlight as you coordinate the billing process for our diverse projects, specifically for our adoption Services, From crafting invoices that reflect our commitment to excellence to liaising with project managers and clients to resolve any billing queries, you'll be at the forefront of financial integrity. 

  • Practitioner Statements: Take pride in managing our practitioner statements with finesse and empathy. Your ability to navigate payment processing and resolve billing issues will be crucial in fostering trust and collaboration within our community.

  • Supportive Financial Guru: Embrace the role of a trusted ally to our finance team, providing support wherever it's needed. Whether it's reconciliations, month-end closings, or implementing process improvements, your dedication to accuracy and efficiency will drive our success.

Financial Background Requirements:

 To ensure you're ready to hit the ground running, we're looking for candidates who meet the     following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a must. Candidates with professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or those who are Part Qualified are highly preferred.

  • You should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting roles. This experience will ensure you're equipped to handle the challenges and responsibilities of the position.

  • Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. You should be comfortable creating complex spreadsheets, navigating existing intricate Excel sheets, and automating processes using formulas. This skillset will enable you to efficiently analyse financial data and drive insights.

  • Analytical Acumen: We're seeking candidates with excellent analytical skills who can delve into financial data, identify trends, and extract actionable insights. Your ability to interpret complex information will be key to making informed decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is paramount in this role. You should be able to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats, ensuring understanding among non-financial stakeholders.

  • Independence and Collaboration: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is important, but so is your capacity to collaborate seamlessly as part of a team. We value individuals who can contribute autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative environment.

    Hours: Full time: 37.5 hrs per week 

    Salary:£35-£40K
