Associate Neurodevelopmental Practitioners

The role will be to undertake face to face neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and ADHD) for children and/or adults as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role can be offered at one of our centres in Harrogate/Horsforth/Halifax or remote. We are keen to hear from qualified health professionals looking for an Associate role.

Senior Practitioner in the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team

The role
This senior role focuses on providing clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight within Oakdale’s neurodevelopmental services. Rather than undertaking direct neurodevelopmental assessments, the post holder will provide clinical support and guidance to non-clinical staff or junior practitioners at the outset of an assessment process to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing supervision, clinical support, and guidance on issues such as risk management, safeguarding, triage screening, and case management.
Taking a lead role in clinical decision-making in relation to triage screening and watchful waiting.
Link with clinical leads who hold overall responsibility for clinical governance and safeguarding oversight to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Supporting consistent, evidence-based practice across triage and assessment support pathways.
Acting as a source of expertise for non-clinical staff and/or practitioners when complex clinical presentations or safeguarding issues arise.
Ensuring that service users and families experience safe, patient-centred, and compassionate care at all points of their pathway
Line management of team members may be required

Triage Support Worker- 12 month FTC

The Triage Support Worker will provide comprehensive service delivery of triage and report administration including clinic report preparation, triaging referrals and reviewing diagnostic reports.
There will also be other ad hoc administrative tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist in the preparation of clinical reports under supervision from Oakdale’s Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, including mentorship with a Higher Assistant Psychologist.
Use analytical skills to effectively and accurately summarise assessment and triage information from a variety of sources and extrapolate clinically relevant information.
To work through the information received to identify those cases that can be routinely allocated and those that are more complex and require additional clinical consideration prior to allocation.

To review diagnostic reports to ensure that they meet the minimum standards of assessment to be accepted into the ADHD Medication Service.
Managing own time effectively to ensure timely triage, allocation and throughput of cases.

Maintain accurate case records on Oakdale’s case management system, and to ensure that cases are tracked and monitored to ensure an efficient allocations process.
To be responsible for own workload under the direct support of a Higher Assistant Psychologist and/or the Triage Lead.
